The International Ocean Stewardship Forum will aim to strengthen the interface between the legal and technical aspects of marine policy making and implementation with a particular focus on Global Entitlements to Ocean Space: The New Order of Opportunity and Challenge and Biodiversity and the Marine Environment. Recognising the need for common understanding across the range of ocean use, the Forum will further embrace the legal-technical interface for other issues.

Organised under the guidance and leadership of the UNCLOS group at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton http://www.unclosuk.org/, who deliver independent, high-quality scientific advice on territorial sovereignty, marine scientific research, resource management, and the preservation of the marine environment.
